Monday, Oct. 08, 2001 White Poppies Are An Insult Too So, we're officially at war now - they began bombing Afghanistan. Now do you know what really makes my stomach churn? All those gutless little shits running around at the moment crying for pacifist tactics - like the people who nearly broke their fingers to get their diaries updated tonight condemning the military action. Hah, these were the same people making such a big fucking song and dance about how terrible the events of September 11 were. Get a grip on reality people. War isn't nice - nobody in their right minds wants a war or wants people to die. People in the armed forces don't particularly want to have to go out and kill anyone, despite what the pseudo-pacifists might be saying. Sometimes, however, it's inevitable. It's inevitable to protect democracy, to protect our right to gather outside Downing Street and chant 'Stop The War', it protects the right of every whinging little shit who can sit safely in their warm rooms with full bellies while they chatter on about how it's awful that we're simply following America without thinking and it protects the right for people to be educated so they can form cogent arguments against the war. If I hear one more bleeding heart liberal bitching about how this is America's fight and we shouldn't get involved, I'll fucking scream. Our nation owes America the help - we were glad enough - shit all of Europe was glad enough of American help when we were about to be defeated last century. Yes, the money would be better spent on schools and hospitals, but they aren't much use when you have a nation living in fear that maybe next time those nutbags would be crashing a plane into the centre of London. Yeah, how many of those protestors would be wanting peace if it was their loved one being carried off in a body bag? We're at war. If you can't support your government or your country at a time when we should be standing together, putting up a united front against people who would wipe each and every one of us out without a second thought, then please do me a favour. Shut the fuck up.
